The Elemental Horses

This crazy venture started out as one simple thing... to not be bored and be productive as I was volunteering hours at the ArtLife Gallery [link]

I was drawing stuff in a brand new sketchbook and had my old cds pipping through the sound system of the gallery. I made sure each time I was there I left with a new piece of art made and completed... so I can slap it on a mug and card to sell eventually. I simply started with the making of this drawing on the first day there:

Then dug way back into my childhood and decided to redraw FireBright:

I thought... ok... I'll draw a couple more... since I had no firm idea what the other horses will be. But as I was working away a fellow artist suggested I put it into a book... something small and simple to sell in the gallery and other places. Ok... a bound art portfolio of sorts. I set myself to make 8, 10... then 12. Each time I wasn't exactly sure what to make. I thought ok! Done! Good enough! So as I was piecing this thing together... I'm thinking... it needs more... lol... so here's a bit more... I'll make more on Monday.
