First step is to draw the tilted line and then the half circle... be generous with the roundness... otherwise the Roo will look like its starving and about to die, lol.

When animals(including people) walk and run we throw our weight forward. Most 4 limbed creatures have powerful back legs for walking, running and jumping and the front limbs are to help brace and balance the body as the whole creature is getting the back legs readjusted for the next stride.

Kangaroos are different. They don't walk, or run.... they can't. They can only jump to propel themselves at great distances. Their hind legs are extremely large and the forelimbs do nothing to aide in balance... they rely heavily on that large thick tail. When they crawl slowly, or kick box fight they use the tail as a third leg. They can sit on their tails like chairs and use both their hind legs to kick.
