I love David Kawena's Kocoum [link] It is my most favorite. I was just admiring it again in my favorite's gallery when an idea for another mock cover sparked. This whole thing inspired by the PlayShip covers the guys are making : [link]
If you don't know Star Trek Voyager there is a Native American male character named Chakotay who was once an enemy of the Federation. Janeway was sent to hunt him down but both ships were pulled to the opposite side of the galaxy. Both of their crews faced the daunting task of getting home, a journey that could last 70 years. He became first officer and later best friend to Captain Catherine Janeway, my hero of heroic women.
I love that relationship and to this day I still think he's mighty hawt! The Kocoum painting is hawt...Chakotay is hawt but older looking in the show...slight differences... the time travel back to his teenage years fixes that problem... love science fiction always a solution somewhere in the writing.
So here is my second faux Star Trek magazine cover for the lady Trek fans. I was thinking National Geographic cover and Times Person of the Year style... but with a touch of spice. Enjoy!
It isn't plagarism if I cite my sources and give full credit where it is due. We all learned this in high school English. Even the original artist likes this and posted it as one of his many favorites.
ah well if it isnt ill delete my comment k?
