Rosie the Riveter

I have been wanting to make my own version of a Rosie the Riveter [link] art piece for a long time now. One that is based on my own sister, something we can both relate to better. I feel an updated version will always need to be made as the role of girls in society continues to evolve.

I've created sketches of this idea out in various ways... but I think this pose and the direct reference to the Star Trek teaser trailer: [link] is the best for now.
