Sky Centaurs Falcon Class
That song has been on my mind for forever...

This morning when I stepped into work my coworkers told me there was a dead bird out on the balcony. Our office is on the 5th floor of a high rise right next to LAX. I took a look... it was a little falcon on his/her back near the glass door. No blood, no feathers ruffled, looked like it was sleeping. The creature was so sweet and beautiful. We were trying to figure out what killed it. Must have been after a pigeon and miscalculated. Must have been a youngster... very small margin of error against this building:

My co-workers were joking about which one of us "murdered" the bird. When a machine went wrong they'd say... "the falcon-killer did it" and point to a certain co-worker. Then I was thinking of the board game CLUE... Which got me thinking about murder mysteries. I love love love the old science fiction movie style. The Falcon pushed me on with this idea that was lingering and building. So, I dedicate this painting to that falcon.

Took 4 hours. Will work on this some more later.
