Beware of Pretty Boys

...in Hollywood... they are probably Scientologists...

They are disarmingly pretty... and I mean it! 2001 after graduation I was trying everything out... looking for work in the L.A. area. This was before I did substitute teaching and caricaturing and all that stuff... I was walking up and down Hollywood blvd. looking to work at the El Capitan, Kodak Theater(not yet finished) and the Pantages(I thought it would be a cool way to see live shows, be a part of live theater, and earn money and give me a reason to be in L.A. more, I moved back with my parents). Hollywood blvd. has several buildings owned by L.Ron Hubbard... the founder of Scientology. In the middle of the sidewalk a young man was passing out fliers randomly and talking to some tourists. I kept my eyes forward and when I passed him, I quickly grabbed the flier he held out said a quick "thank you" and kept going...

*BAM!!* Now he's standing in front of me blocking my way. "Ooooooh $%^!&...." I look up at him.... OMG... disarmingly gorgeous(Wesley Crusher pretty x10) and looking at me with those eyes... like this magical aura vortex that just sucks you in... on top of that he had that look(that makes a girl want to give in to this new possibility).

Oh damn... he was inviting me in, asking me to take an I.Q. test(they only want the smart ones). Thank heavens I already knew enough to know Scientology for the crap that it is.... it is NOT science... I was soooooo tempted to just play along... but I was afraid of being sucked in and trapped the moment I stepped through those doors... so sorry(I felt like he was a brainwashed piece of bait)... nice try Scientologists... nice try... your tricks don't work on me!!! Neener neeener!!!

btw... I read up on him long ago... L.Ron Hubbard was quoted to have said "If you want to get rich fast... start a religion." Yeah... keep that in mind folks.... hang onto that.
